Join Girl Scouts
Home > Girls

From sports skill-building clinics to career mentoring, world travel and cultural exchanges to local community service projects, environmental stewardships to financial literacy, the Girl Scout program enables girls to be who they want to be. By participating in a wide range of programming activities, girls can get a behind-the-scenes look at a museum, practice sports skills with local college athletes, research DNA and build robots, or rock climb in the Virginia and Tennessee mountains.

A girl can be a Girl Scout in many ways. She can register individually as a Juliette Girl Scout or she can join a troop with other giggling girls and a couple of caring adults in her community.

To Be Announced

Typically, girls are placed in troops based on their school's location or where they live. The availability of troops is determined by the numbers of volunteer leaders in the area.

Volunteers are Girl Scouting's most valuable resource. The Girl Scout organization is volunteer based and driven. Troops are formed as qualified leadership becomes available. It is a great experience for parents/guardians to participate in their daughter's troop activities. Everyone has something special to contribute.

If your daughter would like to join a Girl Scout troop, we encourage you to complete our Girl Scout Interest Form. Please note this is not a registration form. We will use this information to try to place your daughter into a troop.

For more information please complete the Girl Scout Interest Form or contact the Girl Scout Council of the Catawba Valley Area at 828-328-2444 or 800-328-8388.
