These important dates will help you keep on track as you work toward your Girl Scout Gold Award.
- Earliest date to begin working on the Gold Award
You may begin as soon as you bridge into Senior Girl Scouts or are 14 years of age
— only activities you start and complete while in Senior Girl Scouts may be counted toward the Gold Award.
- Earliest date project plan can be submitted
You must submit your project proposal at least six weeks prior to beginning your project for approval from the council.
- Latest date project plan can be submitted
Six months prior to September 30 of the year of your 18th birthday or your high school graduation and six weeks before putting your plan into action.
- Latest date final report can be submitted
September 30 of the year of your 18th birthday or your high school graduation.
Important!
Your Gold Award Project must require your time and effort for a minimum of four months but it may take as much as two years.
October 1 and March 1 To help the Gold Award Task Group, please turn your Gold Award project plan or final report into the Council Service Center on one of these two dates.
