Girl Scouts in grades 3-12 in Fall and their brothers/sisters grades 3-12 in Fall and adults; girls may sign up as individuals. If more than one girl from a family, then a parent must go on the trip.

Hey batter, batter! Sports fans – cheer for the Atlanta Braves baseball team as you attend one of their games in Atlanta. Check out Turner Field including Coca-Cola Sky Field, the press box, broadcast booth and the dugout at the Braves Museum and Hall of Fame tour. Tour the CNN Studio and sports desk and visit the Atlanta Underground (shopping area). In addition, visit Stone Mountain Park to watch the laser light show and participate in other activities. Girls may sign up as individuals or with her family. The group will depart from Hickory at 9 a.m. on June 30 to Atlanta and return to Hickory at 6 p.m. on July 2. The group will not spend any time at Camp Ginger Cascades. The price is based on four people to a room in two double beds. Additional fees may apply for less than four people to a room or to accommodate male participants. To register siblings and adults for “Go Braves,” complete the registration form online or use the camp registration form in this brochure, then e-mail Jeannie Brown, brown@cvgirlscouts.org, with the list of family members attending, female/male, ages and $35 deposit for each. This must be sent with registration or e-mailed the same day to secure spots. The price includes all admission tickets, hotel (four to a room), meals and transportation. Registration deadline is May 1, 2008.
Father/Daughter Weekend

Ahoy ye mates! Follow the treasure map to adventures for dads and daughters to explore camp together through a variety of swash buckling activities. Remember, ye swab, you’ll be out on the open seas of the Camp Ginger Cascades so be prepared to get wet while swimming in the pool and canoeing on the lake! Join us for some yo-ho-ho fun of fishing in the lake, walking the plank and searching for buried treasure. Arrive at 6-7 p.m. on Friday and leave at 10-11 a.m. on Sunday. If you need to leave early because of Father’s Day on Sunday, we can make accommodations for you.
Mother/Daughter Weekend

Far out! What’s shakin’? Can you dig it? Join us for a Super 70’s party theme weekend. Travel back in time to flower power, smiley faces, pet rock and dancing the hustle. In addition, go swimming, rock climbing and canoeing. Come to dinner on Saturday in your favorite 70’s outfit. The weekend runs from 6-7 p.m. on Friday until 10-11 a.m. on Sunday.
