For girls to benefit from Girl Scouting, they need the guidance of concerned, caring adults. Adults like you! For some volunteers, that guidance may be given through working directly with girls throughout the year. For others, it may be to lend expertise for a specific short-term project or event. No matter what avenue of volunteering you take, the benefits will be bountiful for both the girls and for you as a volunteer.
In Girl Scouting, we realize that today’s busy adult may not be able to make long-term volunteer commitments. That is why we offer flexible options to anyone interested in the development of young girls. Whether it’s once a week, once a month, or once a year, your efforts will make a difference.
The Girl Scouts of the Catawba Valley Area works with women and men to match skills, willingness and available time (no matter how small) to an appropriate volunteer role. In most cases, no experience is required; although some positions require training.
Below are just a few of the many volunteer positions and benefits available in Girl Scouting. If you have a particular skill, talent, or interest you want to share and would like to enhance your present skills while helping girls grow strong, please consider volunteering for Girl Scouts.
