This project is great for girls to create fun frames for a troop picture or to make as gifts for family.
Materials
- Foamie Sheets: 1 blue, 2 white, 1 yellow, 1 green
- Aleene's Tacky Glue or similar product
- Scissors or Pinking Shears
- Ruler
- Paper Hole Punch
- X-acto Knife (for Leader's use)
Directions
1. Cut one white and one blue foamie sheet to 9" x 7" for frame.
2. On back of blue foamie, draw a rectangle 1" in from all sides. Cut out on line with X-acto knife.
3. Trace eight leaf patterns onto green foamie. Depending on age level, you or your Girl Scouts can cut the leaves out with pinking shears.
4. Cut white circles (the daisy's petals) with pinking shears and smaller yellow circles (the daisy's center) with regular scissors.
5. With hole punch, punch out seven white dots and five yellow dots to use as confetti decorations around the daisies.
6. Glue leaves and circle on frame to resemble daisies. Use dots to decorate between daisies.
7. Glue decorated, blue frame to white foamie rectangle. Glue close to outside edges on three sides, so photo can be slipped in from the top.
8. Cut one triangle 6" x 4" x 7" for picture frame stand. Score the 6" side of the triangle 1" in, all the way down. Glue the 1" section to bottom of center of frame so frame will stand. Let dry. |
