Our Program
The Girl Scout Council of the Catawba Valley Area is an adventure in learning that offers girls a broad range of activities to address both her current interests and her future role as a woman. Through programs such as GirlSports, Read to Lead, community service and issues for girls, girls grow strong in self-confidence, responsibility, integrity, expertise and creativity, and gain skills in leadership and teamwork. Girl Scouting stimulates self-discovery in the worlds of science and technology, the arts, the environment, global awareness, health and fitness, and literacy.
Girl Scouts is the jewel in the crown of girl's activities. Girls can pursue music, sports and more than a dozen other activities. In addition, Girl Scouts provides an extra dimension
— it is an organization by girls, for girls and of girls, devoted to building self-esteem, strong values, and social conscience.
Our Mission
Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.
