A donation to Girl Scouts is an investment in the future
The Girl Scouts is the world's preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls
— all girls
— where, in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and skills for success in the real world. In partnership with committed adults, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives
— like strong values, social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth.
It costs the Girl Scout Council of the Catawba Valley Area $250 per girl per year to provide quality Girl Scout programs and services, including:
- Over 80 adult training workshops such as Leaderfest, and Troop Camp Training
- Over 25 girl programs such as Science of Sports, Down Under-Caving, Tennis, Careers in Science and People Around Me
- Over 45 summer camp sessions such as Creative Chef, Hogwarts Haven, Outdoor Discovery, and It's a Girl Thing
