John Leach
Treasurer

Dr. John Leach was elected to the position of Treasurer in March 2005. He was first elected to the GSCCVA Board of Directors in 1988. He has held various positions in Girl Scouting including Assistant Troop Leader, Service Unit Cookie Chair, and on the Board as Member-at-Large, Secretary, and Vice Chair of Finance.

John graduated from the University of Aston and received his doctorate degree from the University of Nottingham, both in the United Kingdom. He is the Vice President of Engineering and co-owner at Hi-Tech Fuses, located in Hickory. He represents the USA in international fuse standards and serves as fuse sub-committee secretary of the IEEE. He has previously been a member of the Catawba County United Way Board, and Vestry at St. Albans Church.
