Dottie Darsie

Dottie Darsie was elected as the Board Chair in April 2007.

A Girl Scout enthusiast, Dottie is a former Board Chair and previously served as a troop leader. In addition, she was a camp nurse.

She received her bachelor's degree from Duke University. She has served for the Caldwell County Board of Education, was a Legislative Liaison for theNorth Carolina School Board Association, and has been active with theHealthy Caldwellians, APPANC, Caldwell Council on Adolescence. Dottie is also a member of First Presbyterian Church in Lenoir.

She lives in Lenoir with her husband Jim. They have three adult children, Julie, Stephen and Emily.
