Anita Johnson Gwin
Vice Chair of Associations
Anita Johnson Gwin was elected to the position of Vice Chair of Associations in March 2005. She was first elected to the GSCCVA Board of Directors in 2003.
A former Girl Scout, Anita is enthusiastic about the future of Girl Scouting. “Girl Scouting develops girls and young women to become strong, self-assured, educated women. When I was growing up in Girl Scouts, the girls in my troop became my lifelong friends, and the skills I learned are lifelong foundations.”
Anita is a graduate of the University of South Dakota and earned her bachelor and masters degrees. She is currently employed as the Vice President for Student Affairs and the Dean of Students at Lenoir-Rhyne College. She has served on several boards and organizations including the Women’s Resource Center, the City of Hickory Historic Commission and the University of South Dakota Foundation.
